John

Daddy's in Charge?

I've mentioned John's "Daddy's in Charge?" blog here in the past, but until just now, I haven't included him in the Blogging Fathers section for two important reasons:

1. Didn't get around to it.

2. The check hasn't cleared.

Well, I'm happy to say everything is fine now, and so it is my great honor to write about "Daddy's in Charge?"

First of all, I'm going to write some nice things, but you have to keep in mind that I'm not happy. John, who is a LEGO-connoisseur, or for the English-speaking crowd, a LEGO-aficionado, has made some LEGO videos about other bloggers, even one starring the arch-nemesis of all blogging dads, Dan from Single Dad Laughing, but I haven't been immortalized in brick. Yet. Maybe now that I suck up to him here he will reconsider. Or maybe there's a payola system. I'll have my people talk to his people.

Anyway, it's not just LEGOs videos. John can write too, and without him on Twitter, chatting with me and often mocking me, I would have been lost a long time ago.

So if any of you has somehow missed that blog, head on over now. You'll be thankful you've found a blog that is not afraid to be original.

  1. What do they say about saving the best for last... Years from now, you might just get your Lego movie.

    1. I linked to it in the post!

I shouldn't really say anything bad about SDL though, because I promised myself I'd stop hatin' once he removes his "Much more than a daddy blog" line on his blog.

But now that it's gone, I find it difficult to keep up my end of the deal I made with myself. I mean, the guy recently got lost on a hike, and after he was rescued, he got a PR person to write a press release about that for him. He's beyond-WTF.

    2. You know My SDL Lego video was only done with traffic in mind. Gotta go after the big ones first right. Have to suck up to the world renowned guys first. Works better for all of us in the long run.

    3. Oh, I knew that. You're like Humphrey Bogart in The Treasure of Sierra Madre. You went after the gold, but at what cost? At what cost...?

  3. John is a Twitter machine. I love his lego videos too, especially the SDL one! He is also my first and only Google+ chat participant, which bonds us for life, haha!

    1. I visited G+ today for the first time in months, after someone added me or circled me or something elsed me, and it's not terrible, it's just redundant... And the way it creates personalized Google search results is so evil, that it now makes me hate Google and everything it has ever created. If I had a time machine, and some time to spare after the whole Hitler-killing thing, I'd sabotage the "Let's create a social network" meeting Google had. Then I'd give SDL LSD and take him up to a mountain, where we'd look at stars and learn about humility.
