I bet I could use my many years of Interneting to find out his real name, but I guess for now This Daddy will do... Actually I did just find out his name. I'm getting good at this game.
This Daddy's Blog is one of those rare corners of the Internet that is all too overlooked, because genuine posts and opinions are making way for niche-seekers and gimmicks. While the rest of us search for Twitter followers, Google+ circlers, and that new Facebook Top Story spot, This Daddy uses his blog to connect, to think in public, and to discuss his challenges and his triumphs. Remember the Internet was about communication before it was a trigger for booms and busts.
As usual, I hope to get a hundred new people to visit the blog, but I'll be happy if it's just one, so hopefully you'll be that one. Go to This Daddy's Blog, subscribe, follow on Twitter, and comment every once in a while. I'll appreciate it, This Daddy will appreciate it, and the Internet will appreciate it.

Thanks and I am honored. I cant believe that someone would actually search for my blog. From one non spanking dad to another, thanks
ReplyDeleteHooray to all non-spanking dads and best better halves of their wives. :)
ReplyDeleteI just saw his blog and I love his article on childhood obesity. He isn't sided on who to blame and just states facts. I will check this blog often.
ReplyDeleteAwww... That's a very cute picture!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Blogging is actually a work and I like very much your blogging work...crf6adv.com
ReplyDeleteThis Daddy, glad you liked it. And I'm also with you on the temper thing, which with or without spanking is a bad thing for the kids and the parent. My dad had a terrible temper, and then last year he had the inevitable heart attack, so I'm trying to be cool, but it's not easy... At least I'm glad to know I'm not the only one struggling.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks to all other commenters for reading!
ReplyDeleteSpanking will only make your child feel unloved. I support both of you. No to spanking daddies and mommies.
ReplyDeleteI just thought (out of curiosity) why do bloggers like you want to hide your real name?
ReplyDeleteGreat blog. Keep it up!

Williamsport, I think neither of us is really anonymous, first of all. It took me five minutes to find This Daddy's name, and my name is actually in the Contact Me tab. In general, though, I think it's just about freedom. We're so used to the identities we've created all our lives that we end up restricted by these identities. We feel we can't write what we want to write because The Real Us wouldn't have written that, so ironically, an alias helps people be more honest in their writing.
ReplyDeleteHi love your blog. There is not many good blogs for fathers out there that are as well descriptive as yours! Ive started one up for here in Australia. Its about fathers and there rights. I also have a petition there for people to sign so that father that deserve 50/50 shared living arrangements can get it.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work
Cheers
Ryan

I like how you share other blogs with fatherhood as a theme. You are never afraid of competition because you know people loves your blog and will always do. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Blogger Father I hope you can update your blog more often just like your Facebook page. :)
ReplyDeleteHmm, I have this feeling that you just kept us more curious about THIS DADDY so that we'll head over to his site.haha Well, yeah I'm curious about him and I'll be visiting his site now.

All bloggers who happens to be fathers blogging about fatherhood rocks! In short you both rock!
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving me more blogs to bookmark and check out each week. I like all your reviews about other blogs.
ReplyDeleteHi there. I actually agree with other people saying that sometimes it is better to make use of a pseudonym when writing because doing that will certainly bring out the best there is in you. That actually worked for writers in the past and take note they are the best authors we've known in the world. Yours is a good one though.

ReplyDeleteYes! I'm getting tired of all the fakery going on in the internet. So much advertising, so much marketing! But it's what pays the bills for me, :(
Very nice! I really salute every father..Cool
ReplyDeleteI love this! Dad's blogging....all I see are mommy's blogging, which is interesting, but I like to see the other side of the parental unit. Glad I found your blog. :)
