I don't know what I was trying to achieve when I started this blog. Not sure I was trying to do anything, really. I liked to read blogs, and being a new father, I liked reading what other fathers were saying. That was it.
But then I noticed, pretty early on, that there was actually something there. There was actually a common thread almost-hidden in many of the fathers' blogs: the refusal to allow preconceived ideas of fatherhood or manhood to define who the writers were. And this honest expression of the search for self-definition, when a man was coming to terms with his new identity as a father, seemed to unite many of the blogs.
Lee writes about the way his kids see him, and about the way he feels when one day they don't jump in excitement when he comes home, and he writes things like, "Sometimes it’s not what you do, but doing it together that counts."
There's a lot more on the blog, but I'm a relatively new reader, so I'll leave it there.
I hope you enjoy reading Lee's blog, and I hope you find a little bit of yourself in his thoughts.

Just found his blog the other day and his superdaddy photo had me in stitches so it's worth going there just to see that even if you don't read on :)
Costumes come and go, but this one never fails.
"... about the way he feels when one day they don't jump in excitement when he comes home..." That reminds me of my own husband. The times that our son doesn't feel like going out to the train station to meet him after work, he feels something is lacking for the day. We live nearby the station and it has been a practice. So, the days our son is a little lazy, daddy would have a tinge of disappointment!
I am also a father of new born baby.i love to have child thanks for sharing such a nice platform
Such cute kids in that picture. Are those your kids or Lee's? Anyway, there's always that thought of your kids growing up, going away, leaving home and the fear of being left. That's life. We all were in that position many years ago. Such is the circle of life. As fathers, a parent, we teach our children and guide them towards becoming better people.
Pocket, a friend of mine had to leave his 2-year-old for a couple of weeks, and when he returned, his boy came up to him, handed him his ball, and turned around. I guess kids have different ways of showing their love...
Medical, thank you!
Robert, those are Lee's. But I have to say mine are pretty cute too.
A father and at the same time a blogger can be interesting job. Just like what all parents go through and will go through at a certain point of their lives, children grow and will soon act or behave differently. Time comes also that they will just go on their own lives. Being a parent is a huge responsibility and seeing your children grow and go make you feel left alone.
Hi there. I have been following your blog for a short while and I think it is excellent. It is one of the reasons I get out of bed in the morning. Well...that is a bit of an exaggeration...but your blog is excellent.
I have selected you to be one of my fifteen recipients of the Versatile Blogger Award.
Shoot on over here http://www.chalkboarddad.com/2010/07/award-to-hang-on-my-fridge.html to check it out.
I continue to look forward to reading you.

Lee's blog looks interesting, gotta check it later. May I ask who's children are in the picture? Yours or Lee's? Sorry I got confused. The two kids are very cute. :)
Brian, Thanks! I don't post very frequently, so it will take me some time, but I WILL NOT refudiate this award.
Amanda, these are Lee's kids. But I swear mine are also cute.
Everybody will lose their heart in the laughing of a teethless child. It looks beautiful:)
Really awesome post. when i am reading your posts... i can't leave it without commenting. Its really yummy to my eyes
Let me just say, I get a few spammers commenting here. Some I let in, because even though they're only here for the link, at least they make it seem like they've read the post. Many comments get trashed, though.
But that last one, telling me my post was yummy to the eyes, was just too crazy to ignore. In fact, it was yummy to my eyes!
