Annoyingly Boring? is mostly a photo blog. Pat publishes one photo every day, adding a few lines at the bottom. That's it. Some are photos of his kids or of his life with them, and some aren't.
Maybe it's simply the quality of the photos. Maybe it's the way the photos tell a story and put you in the scene. Maybe it's the gentle way Pat photographs his kids or his day-by-day life with them. Maybe the secret is in the short posts beneath the pictures. Either way, Pat takes a simple 365 Project idea and makes it his own.
thanks for the pub.
ReplyDeleteI would encourage everybody to give daily photography a try. A year sound too much? try a month, or a week. Sure you might get some lousy photos, but you WILL get something awesome you might not have captured if you weren't shooting every day.
Pat's a great guy. I've gained 20 lbs since we did our W8 Loss Wed video series together in 08 (wow. time flies!) but it has remained one of my favorite blog projects so far. Plus, he's from Boston, and all Boston people rule. Why yes, I was born there, why do you ask? :)
ReplyDeletePat's pictures are the good stuff.
ReplyDeletePat, glad you liked it. It's hard for me to get through the instructions for my pocket Cannon, but maybe one day I'll get over my fear of too many options and start taking good photos.
ReplyDeleteBusyDad, in your defense, some of it was probably pregnancy-sympathy weight gain.
Whit, yep yep. In an outside-the-box kind of way.
Jim, I have put almost all the weight back on too!
ReplyDeletehappy father's day to you.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try photoblogging but I am not a photographer so I thought it won't work for me. But after reading this post, I think I should try it now. The way you put it here in your post, Pat is like having a great time photoblogging. Well, thanks for the encouragement. :)
ReplyDeleteHe seems like a good dad and loves his kids....he spends quality fun time with them
ReplyDeleteLike they say...a picture is worth a thousand words...so pictures can tell stories and can be interesting too.
