It's a short distance from Vegas to L.A.
Unfortunately, Tim from L.A. Daddy doesn't live there anymore. He's moved away to Ohio, and is now experiencing something not many in L.A. have ever heard about: weather.
I have to agree with him. Bill Hicks used to make fun of L.A. people, calling them lizards because they couldn't handle the idea of putting on a coat. But really, I could do without this whole weather thing. You know, I don't mind a little drizzle, even a once-a-decade snow, but I'll be the happiest man with an above-60 degrees for about 350 days.
And there's more we agree on. Like this phone. I don't know who came up with the idea that toys need to be annoying. And it's not just the noise--I'd love it if my kid played the drums all day. It's this digital, fake-child-voice, faux-educational stuff they have in toys.
Not all toys need to teach you how to count to ten, is what I say.
Anyway, good luck in Ohio. Look at the good side: at least during the election the candidates come to visit. (That's the best I could come up with?)

I have to agree with you on the noisy toys. They all make these cheap electronic noises that are meant solely to drive parents insane.
However, I'm not sure who I dislike more; the toy designers or the packaging engineers. Whoever came up with the metal twist ties has a reserved spot in the 7th circle of Hell...
I'm with you on the twisties. Just when you think it's ready, you realize you need another turn. And then you realize there are two more twisties hiding behind the duck's legs. Do we really need one behind each leg? Do ducks even have legs?
I don't know what I would do without snow, having more seasons just makes for more variety in recreation.
Ice fishing, snowmobiling, skiing and Christmas just doesn't look the same without snow.

I just read a post from a blogger in Australia, talking about Christmas in the summer. It really doesn't make sense! But I guess you get used to it.
On the other hand, both my baby and I have a cold now...
I live in Ohio. It's not all bad. Not great, by any stretch of the imagination, but not bad either.
Oh, I'm sure, I'm sure. It's just that living through any first real winter could be a bit traumatizing. Once you get used to winter and learn you don't have to do a sad hunchback impression when the temperatures drop, it could even be fun.
Gracias!
